Our story

We’re just getting started

Our story is one of passion, innovation, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

Avkalan Labs was born in 2022 out of a shared vision among a group of researchers from different Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) who were driven by a common goal: to create a leading simulation company by India, for the world. With expertise spanning multiple disciplines, these researchers united to bring cutting-edge innovation to the field of scientific simulations, to position Avkalan Labs at the forefront of global technological advancement.

The journey began when Avkalan Labs was incubated at the TIDES incubation center at IIT Roorkee in 2023. This marked the first step in transforming an ambitious idea into a tangible reality. Within its first year, Avkalan Labs garnered recognition for its innovative approach, winning the prestigious NIDHI PRAYAS grant along with several other awards, validating the strength of its vision and the potential of its technology.

Avkalan Labs quickly attracted top talent from around the globe, onboarding researchers from some of the world's most prestigious universities, including IIT’s, MIT, Oxford University, Vanderbilt University, Brown University, Boston University and Imperial College London.

As we look to the future, Avkalan Labs remains committed to its founding mission: to lead with innovation, inspire with excellence, and create solutions that resonate on a global scale.
